Hurricane Charley Relief

Two days after Hurricane Charley hit, United Way of Tampa Bay partnered with SunTrust Bank and News Channel 8, The Tampa Tribune and TBO.com to help the storm's victims by administering a special fund for donations. 

Contributions approximated $750,000. 100% of all contributions were directed to front-line disaster and long-term recovery needs, with no administrative costs being taken by United Way or the agencies administering the donations.
